Housing Projects Update – November 2014

Housing Projects Update – November 2014

The analysis of the Housing Needs Assessment Survey has begun. The findings will inform a Ruapehu Whanau Transformation Housing Action Plan.

The plan will take into consideration key local and national government strategies and aspirations for housing. As well as local stories, and engineering research and input, it will use lessons learnt from other innovative housing projects around the country to inform its content and approach.

Maara Kai – The vege gardens that were originally a koha to the families who participated in the trial WoF programme, have become of huge interest in our community. So much so that we are wanting to provide more to whanau, and to others for a koha to cover the costs of continuing to make them.

We have been receiving donations, sponsorship and free time from kind local companies and community members wanting to help and be involved.

If you are interested in the Maara Kai project please contact the Ngati Rangi Trust office for more details.
